Food Baskets

About the Program

Centre Solaris has an ongoing food basket program targeting residents of Montreal who receive last resort financial assistance (welfare payments) from the Government of Quebec.

Help us keep this program running

How It Works

Food donations are solicited from food stores and food producers. In addition, cash donations are solicited from corporate donors in order to supply food basket recipients with additional items, for example, gift certificate for grocery stores where recipients can purchase additional items.

What We Give

Centre Solaris is also providing items other than food to people in need. This includes clothing, pieces of furniture, household appliances, and electronics. All collected items are distributed for free to the clients of Centre Solaris.
